HUNGER held its U.S. Premiere as the opening film of the 2007 Moondance International film Festival on September 7 at Universal City Walk in Hollywood, California. Joseph Culp, Robert Culp and writer/director Maria Giese were in attendance. The film received the Spirit of Moondance Best Feature award. Robert Culp, who plays the role of the studio producer "The Chief", was honored with a Moondance Pioneer Award for over fifty years of work in film and television. (see festival page)


HUNGER held its west coast premiere as the closing night film at the 2007 FAIF Film Festival on November 1, 2007 in Downtown Disney in Anaheim, California. It won "best underground film" of the festival. (see FAIF festival page)

HUNGER had its European Premiere at the Nordkapp Film Festival in Honningsvag, Norway on September 14, 2007. The film received a standing ovation by the audience and glowing reviews in Norwegian press and television. (see Nordkapp page)


HUNGER is also being featured in a new documentary, "HAMSUN" on controversial writer Knut Hamsun by Norwegian documentarian Knut-Erik Jensen. Joseph Culp and Maria Giese were interviewed extensively about their contemporary approach to Hamsun's greatest novel.


HUNGER held its southeast Asian premiere in Phnom Pehn as an Official Selection of 2007 Cambofest - The Film and Video Festival of Cambodia. It was an honor to be invited to this first ever independent film festival in Cambodia.
